Interview with Ivan Schenal
24.8.2021
Today we are going to interview Ivan Schenal, Enerblue Customer Satisfaction Manager, who has recently joined the team. Let's find out who he is and how he will contribute to the company's growth by levering his long experience.
• Can you tell us about your previous work experience?
Overall, I have always worked in the HVAC area.
I worked 7 years at Clivet (at present MIDEA, China), 7 years at Climaveneta (at present MELCOHIT, Japan), 2 years and a half at Dixell (Emerson, USA).
• What is your role at Enerblue?
I hold the position of Customer Satisfaction Manager. ‘Making customers happy’... Sounds more like a mission statement.
• What activities do you carry out on a daily basis?
I am currently trying very hard to learn as much as I can. I want to get to know the people, our products, the applications we use on the various machines, the company processes, customers, markets...
Basically, there’s a whole new universe to explore.
In my spare time I also try to work!
• How long have you been employed with Enerblue?
My first working day was Wednesday 19 May 2021. I wouldn't exactly call myself a veteran...
• What made you decide to join the Enerblue team?
Enerblue’s green focus certainly played a major role: being able to learn skills related to natural gases (CO2 and R290) was a strong driver in this respect.
Another key factor was the ‘size’ of Enerblue: multinationals have many pluses, but lately I tended to focus on flaws.
• What is the personal contribution you aim to provide to further Enerblue’s growth?
I hope that the professional experiences gained in the HVAC industry will prove a key enabler for Enerblue’s growth.
Over the past 17 years, I have held various positions in different areas; I believe I have gained a comprehensive overview of the various HVAC products.
In addition to merely professional expertise, I plan to bring enthusiasm and ‘diversity’.
• Is there an aspect of corporate life you were impressed by?
After a week spent in the company, I knew everyone’s names and duties.
The environment is inevitably more ‘family-like’ than what I have experienced in the multinationals I have worked for. Good. Great I should say.
• What is Enerblue team’s strong points?
I believe that an agile communication and decision-making process is a key driver.
The low average age of employees (darn! I am not of much help in this regard!!!) brings enthusiasm and innovation; I think that in certain areas it is essential to develop ideas that are little ‘contaminated’ by previous experience. Of course, then you also need someone to create balance by chipping in with experience.
• What colour, feeling or adjective best describes your vision for Enerblue?
At first glance, I'd say green..., in fact, definitely green. I believe that Enerblue must maintain its own identity, setting it apart from other refrigeration equipment manufacturers.
And then blue... The company name; the sky (it's awesomely wide in this area) and the sea.
