Ultra-low noise performance are tested and verified
30.11.2023
Palladium heat pump range has been designed to enable the use of units with natural refrigerant R290, even in commercial and professional applications where noise impact must be minimized.
In partnership with the University of Padua, an extensive noise testing campaign was conducted on the heat pumps to measure their actual noise emissions under different conditions and identify the main sources.
The multidisciplinary approach of the University allows to benefit from the expertise of professionals in the fields of acoustic engineering and thermal machinery.
Initially, a preliminary study was conducted through measurements using instruments such as intensity probes, a dual-channel acquisition card, calibration kit. Noise level measurements in 1/3 octave band were carried out on a single-fan model under 4 different operating conditions, each lasting 20 seconds.
36 points on the surface within 4 different segments of the unit were mapped. The report confirmed that the first overall sound power level tested on the Palladium 60.2 single-fan model is 70.5 dBA, placing the range among the best series production of refrigerators and heat pumps in terms of acoustic impact, considering the limits imposed by Regulation No. 813 of 2013 (Table III).
Enerblue's commitment to innovation and transparency is reflected in the results of these tests. The collaboration with the University of Padua has allowed to achieve new levels of excellence, paving the way for efficient and incredibly quiet energy solutions.

INWED 2024: International Women in Engineering Day
23 June marks International Women in Engineering Day (INWED), which recognises the incredible contribution of women engineers to the profession and encourages more girls to pursue careers in engineering. We introduce Roberta, one of our Project Leader and first hired female engineer. We talked about her career path and what advice she would give to those starting out.
